He is always in a state of moral victory because it's the only real victory that is possible for him because it is the only victory that you can entirely make up.

I stop and realize that society is entirely made up. No one has any idea why we exist or what happens after we die, but we all live our lives as though we know what we're doing and where we're going. There are people that the entire world knows, but that's just a product of humanity. We have our 9-5 jobs, we start families, we have fun, but everyone's just ignoring the fact that our entire existence is unexplained. There's a layer under our created reality that no one will ever understand.

President Obama today said a “fundamental shift in our culture” is needed to prevent sexual assault and domestic violence.

“As far as we’ve come, the fact is that from sports leagues to pop culture to politics, our society still does not sufficiently value women,” Obama said as he unveiled a new campaign to raise awareness and prevent sexual assault on college and university campuses.

“We still don’t condemn sexual assault as loudly as we should,” he said. “We make excuses. We look the other way. The message that sends can have a chilling effect on our young women.”

The White House is enlisting the help of celebrities and athletes to roll out the “It’s on Us” public awareness campaign, which seeks to educate and engage students, particularly young men, to prevent sexual assaults.

“It is on all of us to reject the quiet tolerance of sexual assault and to refuse to accept what’s unacceptable,” Obama said.

While the president did not reference the recent National Football League scandals specifically, he noted that violence against women can no longer be ignored. 

“The issue of violence against women is now in the news every day. We started to, I think, get a better picture of what domestic violence is all about,” he said. “People are talking about it. Victims are realizing they’re not alone. Brave people have come forward. They’re opening up about their own experiences. And so we think today’s event is all that more relevant, all that more important.”

Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you.

I'm pretty sure that you are confusing your lack of travel and my excess of travel with me being the one that has flexibility in the mobility department. I am moving great distances with significant purpose in order to live the most awesome life that is only achieved by doing. It is you who should plan trips to visit me because you'd get to see new places always. I meet the same people from cities I have been to in other cities and that is how I know who is who. If I meet you out and about in DC and in San Francisco then I know that you are committed to what I'm committed to.

I've recently been diagnosed. I was first exposed to it by my since deceased friend Mitch Burrer as I sat in some computer lab, I think it was some nook in the second inaccessible floor of a library at Penn High School. Once you get it, you can't make it go away. Ever since then, my life has been different. I just never knew the difference. How do you know any difference in your version of normal?

Salesforce not having generic is messing me up already.

another thing with ble vs regular bluetooth is if you want to create your own custom profile, ios will support it whereas you'd need specific profiles elsewhere eg. tethering. aka it wouldn't do generic profiles/protocols

THE TRANSITION IN SALESFORCE FROM PORTALS TO COMMUNITIES

The transition from only having Sites and Site.com available to us in the past to now having Communities as a key component in allowing customers or partners into Salesforce, forces us to look at how to solve certain use cases.  I have listed some requirements below and let’s see what feature would best meet that need.

1) Public Web Site with Visualforce Developers
Requirements: I want to build a public web site that anybody can access. There is no login required to access the site.  I have access to Salesforce developers who can create Visualforce pages.

Solution: Sites 
Sites is built using Visualforce pages and does not require a login.  In fact, for new customers, a Salesforce Site is not allowed to require a login.  When you click on the ‘Login Settings’ of a Site built outside the context of a community, you will see that Login is ‘Not Allowed’ and that setting cannot be changed.  In the old world (pre 2013) of customer and partner portals this login process used to be possible.

2) Public Web Site without Visualforce Developers
Requirements: I want to build a public web site that anybody can access. There is no login required to access the site.  I do not have access to Salesforce developers who can create Visualforce Pages.

Solution: Site.com
Site.com is a CMS ( Content Management System ) that allows for drag-n-drop building of a user interface.  It is not as flexible as Visualforce, but a public site can be setup by a non-developer.

3) Authenticated Web Site with Visualforce Developers
Requirements:  I want to build a web site that should require a login.  I have access to Salesforce developers who can create Visualforce pages.

Solution: Communities with a ‘Force.com’ site.  When you create a Salesforce community you can use either a 1) Force.com Site or 2) Site.com.  The Force.com site is just like the Sites that we have always had, but the users who can log into the site are tied to the community.  When you create a community you will have to determine whether it is a customer or partner community.  In the most basic sense think of a customer community as being allowed to access data under one account.  A partner community can access data under multiple accounts.

Normally when you log into a community you land on the default community page that shows you the tabs that are available to you.  In many cases that is a great user experience.  However, if you want a fully branded site where the users do not know they are in Salesforce, then you can override that default page.  We can change the ‘Active Site Home Page’ of the site from being the default community ‘CommunitiesLanding’ page to be a custom Visualforce Page.  On this custom Visualforce page we can set the ‘ShowHeader’ tag to be false and that will remove the Communities standard Header and Footer.  Yeah!  We are now in complete control of end user’s visual experience.

Final Thoughts
For all of the above solutions make sure you take into account licensing costs early in the conversation before you get too far down the road.  Sites by itself is free up to certain ‘page hit’ thresholds.  Customer communities are cheaper than partner communities since less data is being accessed.  With both customer and partner communities you need to think about whether you want to buy named user licenses or a block of logins per month.
